The German Pz Kpfw VI Ausf B was the most powerful and heaviest tank of WWII. It was designed by Henschel Company under the leadership of E. Aders, production was launched in February 1944. Due to the disintegration of the Third Reich and constant air raids meant only 487 units were produced between January 1944 and March 1945. Known as the Tiger II or King Tiger the Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf B encorporated a heavy armour and long-barrelled 88 mm cannon. Its armor-piercing projectile had the ability to hit an allied tank at a distance of 2000 m and above. The tank was heavy, possessed insufficient mobility and engine reliability, however, this impressive tank was still extremely dangerous for any Allied unit and created panic wherever it appeared.

Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B tanks served in heavy tank battalions until the end of the war.
