Section 1 - What do we do with your information?

Personal Information is described by the UK GDPR as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural subject (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference by identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, in order to process your order fully we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, phone number and email address. In order to fully process your order this may mean we have to pass this information on to a third party such as Royal Mail.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us gather analytical data. To opt out of cookies please see section 7.

If you send us an enquiry via the Contact Us form, we will receive your email address only. We will only use this email address to reply to your enquiry, it will not be used or stored in any marketing database without your explicit consent.

Email marketing: With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Section 2 - Consent

How do I give my consent?

When you provide us with any personal information in order to complete a transaction, verify your card details, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

We will only gather personal information for secondary reasons such as marketing with your permission, you reserve the right to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at Sales@thecraftingwell.uk

Section 3 - Disclosure

We may be required at times to disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.  

Section 4 - Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us, (including but not limited to Paypal and Royal Mail) will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways (Paypal) and delivery companies (Royal Mail), have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. Please see their privacy policies so you can understand how your personal information will be handled by these providers.

For overseas transactions and providers that have headquarters listed overseas please remember that if you decide to proceed with any transaction involving a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the those countries in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s website or you are redirected to a third-party website or application (Paypal), you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links from our store, they may direct you away from our site, such as to a Youtube Channel. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Section 6 - Security

In order to protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure any personal information given to us is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by anyone outside of The Crafting Well.

If you provide us with your credit/debit card information, the information will be encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Section 7 - Cookies

A cookie consists of information sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

We use "session" cookies on the website. We will use the session cookies to: keep track of you whilst you navigate the website.

Session cookies will be deleted from your computer when you close your browser.

Our payment services provider ("PayPal") may also send you cookies. Please consult their website to see their privacy policy.

Most browsers allow you to reject all cookies, whilst some browsers allow you to reject just third party cookies. Some browsers allow you block all cookies from all websites, please find instructions for your particular browser online. Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.

Section 8 - Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
